Artur Aleksanyan wins the international tournament “Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov” for the third year in a row

The international wrestling tournament “Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov” is underway in Bulgaria. 

On January 30 the bronze medalist of the London Olympics, two-time world champion, three-time European champion, wrestler Artur Aleksanyan (98kg) launched at the tournament.

In the quarter-finals, Artur Aleksanyan blew away 8:0 Egypt’s Ahmed Osman. Aleksanyan’s next opponent was Iran’s Amirhosein Hosein whom the two-time world champion defeated 8:0 and qualified for the finals. In the last fight, he beat 4:0 Bulgaria’s representative and captured gold of the tournament for the third year in a row.

Maksim Manukyan and Artur Shahinyan (85kg) will compete on January 31.
