The skiers from Ashotsk are keeping to improve their experinces in the international tournaments. Sergey Mikayelyan and Tadevos Poghosyan competed in Germany. They are from the same team. Sergey is 19 years. In order to know about the details of the tournament we had a conversation with Sergey’s mother, who previously had many victories and prises in the tournaments of USSR. Her name is Alla Mikayelyan. She told us that while Sergey was skiing his ski clip was broken, what a pity ! Tadevos suggested his ski to help his friend, but Sergey refused as Tadevos was also in the group of leaders. More than 5 minutes were received to make the clip. However, Sergey continued the race and come over the border being the 27-th among the 200 skiiers.

Mrs. Alla told that her husbant Artur Mikayelyan had taked the guys to the competing place who was also their trainer. After it they continued to compete in Czech international tournament. Sergey got the first prise in the 20 kms skiing race among the 350 participants. Tadevos was in the group of the best 7 athletes.

Our delegation is already back home. In Ashotsk, in the conditions of hight mountains, they’ll be prepairing for the World Youth Championship helded on 20 of February in Erzerum. By the way Erzerum is situated in the middle mountain zone and we hope that our guys will be able to come over the relatively sparse oxygen conditions and have successes.
