Arsen Julfalakyan at 77 kg won 5:1 Bulgarian Daniel Aleksandrov at the European Wrestling Championship ongoing in Bucharest and won a bronze medal.
Let us recall that Olympic silver medalist, world and European champion Arsen Julfalakyan won 5:3 Netherland’s Marcel Sterkenburg in the qualification round. In the 1/8 finals Arsen’s rival was Ronald Shwaz from Germany whom Julfalakyan conceded 3:7 but the German opponent reached the final and Arsen got the right to compete against Azerbaijani Elvin Mursaliyev in the repechage round. Overcoming Mursaliyev Julfalakyan also defeated Aleksandrov without any difficulty. Minutes ago Slavik Galstyan (63 kg) lost 2:6 to Azerbaijani Taleh Mamadov in the bout for bronze.
