The Armenia freestyle wrestling team has set off for Kiev where on May 10 the 23rd Outstanding Ukrainian Wrestlers and Coaches Memorial kicks off.
Vaghinak Matevosyan (57 kg), Valodya Frangulyan (65 kg), Varuzhan Kajoyan (74 kg), Hovhannes Mkhitaryan (86 kg), Sargis Hovsepyan (97 kg), Arman Mkrtchyan (97 kg) and Andranik Galstyan (125 kg) have left for the tournament led by head coach Habetnak Kurghinyan.
Team coach Edgar Yenokyan as well as judge Gevorg Harutyunyan have joined the team. The tournament will be over on May 12.
The last Armenian representative Vahe Badalyan (52kg) is next to struggle for a medal
Only Roman Amoyan will leave
The Armenia team had left for the tournament with 7 boxers.
Gevorg Aleksanyan will join the competition as a judge.
This year the Armenian Basketball Championship was attended by 6 teams from Yerevan, Gyumri and Stepanakert.
The struggle for having a “pure” wrestling has just started.
