Armenia’s men’s weightlifting team’s head coach Pashik Alaverdyan summarized the World Championship ended in Houston, USA.

“Our team completed the tusk entrusted to it. We obtained 5 Olympic qualifications. Mission is totally accomplished. After every contest coaches and athletes face new problems which should be given solutions and worked out before next competition. Here we also faced problems, this time with Tigran Martirosyan and Simon Martirosyan. As for young Simon we need to figure out a way to show the kilograms he lifts at the trainings after losing weight” team’s head coach said.

At the World Championship our athletes Andranik Karapetyan (77kg), Simon Martirosyan (105kg) and Gor Minasyan (105+kg) gained little bronze medals.
