Boxer Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg) after launching the European Games with a victory spoke about the first fight in a conversation with the ANOC press service.
On June 25 Tonakanyan had won Irish James Mc Givern,5:0, and had qualified for the ¼ finals.
“My friends started the competition earlier and it was difficult and boring to wait. The first bout is very important as it is always tough. I have been in a big ring and wouldn’t say that the difference is great. Only here the responsibility is greater and somehow it impedes,” Karen Tonakanyan said.
In the quarterfinal Tonakanyan’s opponent will be British Calum French.
