On the fifth day of the European Games underway in Minsk Arthur Hovhannisyan (49 kg) entered the ring
In the ¼ finals Hovhannisyan fought with Romania’s Cosmin Girleanu.

The Armenian boxer won 4:1 and qualified for the semifinals where he will compete with Ireland’s Regan Daly.

So, Hovhannisyan has secured at least a bronze medal.

Let us recall Arthur Hovhannisyan had joined the competition from the 1/8 finals where had defeated 5:0 Belarusian Yauheni Karmilchyk.

On June 25 Armenian boxers Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg), Hovhannes Bachkov (64 kg) and Gor Nersesyan (81 kg) also performed winning in the 1/8 finals.
