Poland Open: Malkhas Amoyan – gold medalist

Malkhas Amoyan at 72 kg has become a gold medalist at an international tournament being held in Polish capital Warsaw.

In the final Amoyan won 6:0 Ukrainian Maksim Yevtushenko.

Malkhas Amoyan had started the competition from the ¼ finals where had defeated 9:0 Turk Ahmed Yilmaz ahead of time and in the semifinals Amoyan’s opponent was American Raymond Bunker whom Malkhas Amoyan had won 9:0.

The final of the 87kg weight class will be Armenian.

On August 4 Maksim Manukyan and Artur Shahinyan will wrestle for a gold medal.

Gevorg Gharibyan at 60 kg will fight for a bronze medal while Armen Melikyan performing in the same weight category has lost.
