Gor Minasyan, world weightlifting silver medalist in the super heavyweight class, commented on his performance at the World Championship in a conversation with the ANOC press service.

“I feel good. I register the same result for the second year in a row. I had an injury during the European championship in Georgia but now I have fully recovered and returned to my normal trainings,” said the weightlifter from Gyumri.
Speaking about the Olympic Games and the rivalry between him and world champion, Georgian Lasha Talakhadze, Gor Minasyan said, “That rivalry would put pressure on me psychologically if there were a lack of experience but there wasn’t because I have been on the arena for 10 years. Sport is a struggle if you aren’t prepared for it it’s better not to participate. I’m going to do my best to win the Olympic gold. One should move ahead for his purpose and put all his strength together to succeed,” the Olympic silver medalist concluded.
Let us recall at the World Weightlifting Championship in Thailand the Armenia team ended its performance with four medals (two gold, one silver and one bronze) and took the second position.
