Shant Sargsyan becomes U20 silver medalist and Aram Hakobyan - bronze medalist

Armenian GM Shant Sargsyan became a silver medalist and Aram Hakobyan took the 3rd place at the World Junior and Girls U20 Chess Championship held in India.
Shant Sargsyan scored 8,5 points out of 11 and Aram Hakobyan – 8 points.
Ukraine’s Evgeny Shtembuliak who won the gold medal scored 9 points.
In the girls’ competition Mariam Avetisyan gained 6,5 points out of 11 and placed 23rd. Avetisyan was also given a Woman International Master title.
Earlier in October Shant Sargsyan had won a silver medal at the U18 World Championship.
