Drazen Brajkovic to lead Armenia basketball youth team

Croat experienced specialist Drazen Brajkovic has been appointed Armenia U20 basketball team head coach.

In July Armenia will come out at the European Championship-Division B headed by Brajkovic.

At present Drazen Brajkovic leads “Kosice” club that plays in Slovakia’s Extraliga.

The 54 year-old specialist has experience of 25 years.

He had previously worked in a range of clubs and teams. In 2010 Croatia U16 team became European champion headed by Drazen Brajkovic.

Brajkovic had also worked in Georgia leading its national team from 2004 to 2005. During that time he had also led Tbilisi “Dinamo”.

Armenia youth team has been included in subgroup A of the European Championship-Division B where it will compete with Montenegro, Macedonia, Portugal and Georgia.

The European Championship will be held in Chalkida, Greece from July 15 to 24.
