Candidates Tournament: Aronyan ties the game with Giri

Armenian chess team front runner Levon Aronyan tied another game in the 8th round of the Candidates tournament.

Aronyan’s opponent in the first game of the second tour was Anish Giri. Aronyan was playing white. On the 42nd move of the game the grand masters agreed to share the point.
Now Aronyan has 5 points.
The game Peter Svidler-Sergei Karjakin played simultaneously also ended in a tie. Karjakin also has 5 points.
Aronyan’s opponent in the next round will be Viswanathan Anand.
