Candidates Tournament: Aronyan conceded to Anand

Armenia's chess team member Levon Aronyan suffered his first defeat at the Chess Candidates tournament.

In round 9 of the tournament being held in Moscow, Aronyan played black against Vishy Anand. On the 66th move the Indian grand master gained advantage over Aronyan.
Now Aronyan has only 5 points and places third. Vishy Anand and Sergei Karjakin have 5,5 points each.
In the next round Aronyan will compete against Veselin Topalov.
March 22 is a rest day in the Candidates tournament.
