Artur Aleksanyan steps back in the United World Wrestling rankings

Olympic bronze medalist, two-time world, three-time European champion, 2016 European silver medalist Artur Aleksanyan places second in the United World Wrestling rankings.

The rankings’ leader at 98kg is Russia’s Nikita Melnikov.

Roman Amoyan (59kg) who became a 2016 European silver medalist places 15th in the rankings.

At 66 kg European first games silver medalist Mihran Harutyunyan is on the 7th position.

Europe ruling champion in the 71kg weight class Varsham Boranyan places 10th.

At 75kg Olympic silver medalist, world and European former champion Arsen Julfalakyan is on the 11th position and European silver medalist Karapet Chalyan – on the 12th position.

Rafik Manukyan places 19th at 80kg.

Armenia’s freestyle wrestlers are included in the rankings, too. Valodya Frangulyan (81kg) places 10th and Levan Berianidze (125kg) places 9th.

The United World Wrestling new rankings have been drawn up according to the results of the European Championship in Riga.
