Armenian U20 basketball team will have a new coach

13:50 - 20 Apr, 2016

Croat Drazen Brajkovic who was appointed Armenia U20 basketball team head coach has sent a letter to the Basketball Federation of Armenia saying that due to problems in “Kosice” club he won’t be able to work in Armenia.

The Basketball Federation of Armenia quickly began to negotiate with other specialists and an agreement was reached with a Belgian specialist Thibaut Petit.
35-year-old Petit has successfully worked with Belgian and Swedish teams in recent years. At present he coaches “VOO Wolves” team. Petit will work in the Armenian youth team with his assistant Chris Mayes.
In June Armenia’s youth team will start preparing for the European Championships-Division B which will be held in July.
