Aronyan celebrates his first victory in Stavanger

Armenian chess team’s front runner Levon Aronyan celebrated his first victory at the ongoing tournament in Stavanger, Norway.

Aronyan’s opponent was Pavel Eljanov. The Armenian chess player was playing white and on the 45th move of the game made the opponent to surrender. Now Aronyan places third with 4 points and concedes to the tournament leader, Magnus Carlsen, only by one point.
In the last, penultimate, round Aronyan will compete against world champion Magnus Carlsen.
