At the ETU European Taekwondo Championships under way in Switzerland Armenia’s Sergey Vardazaryan (68kg) gaining advantage over Italy’s, Turkey’s and Azerbaijan’s representatives has become a bronze medalist of the championships.
At the European Taekwondo Championships which are held from May 19 to 22 the Armenian taekwondo team takes part with 6 athletes led by head coach Gevorg Danielyan – Varag Aghajanyan (54 kg), Haykaz Samvelyan (58 kg), Sergey Avanesov (63 kg), Sergey Vardazaryan (68 kg), Davit Vardumyan (74 kg) and Arman Yeremyan (87 kg).

The Armenian grandmaster won the winner title ahead of time.
Shahinyan was stronger than Manukyan in the Armenian final.
The delegation is headed by Mikael Hayrapetyan, president of the Sambo Federation of Armenia.
2 Armenian representatives have qualified for the finals.
