Armenian swimmers’ results at European Aquatics Championships

The 2016 European Aquatics Qualifying Championships came to a close in London, Great Britain.

Armenia joined in it with 3 swimmers – Vahan Mkhitaryan, Monica Vasilyan and Vladimir Mamikonyan.

At 50m freestyle Vahan Mkhitaryan showed 23, 67 sec. result and placed 57th among 70 swimmers. At 50m butterfly stroke Mkhitaryan scored 26, 51 sec. and placed 60th among 62 participants. At 100m freestyle the Armenian swimmer was the 83rd among 88 swimmers (53, 12sec.).

Vladimir Mamikonyan came in 66th with 24, 26 sec. result in the 50m freestyle event and – 85th at 100m freestyle (53, 76sec.).

Monica Vasilyan registered 27, 25 sec. result in the 50m freestyle competition and placed 55th among 62 competitors. In the 200m freestyle competition Vasilyan was the penultimate swimmer among 62 participants with 2:12. 80 result.

The Armenian swimmers failed to gain Olympic qualifications.

The championships were held from May 9 to 22.
