Armenia’s Olympic team has a new member

The Armenian Athletics Team has gained one more Olympic qualification.
The International Athletics Federation approved runner Lilit Harutyunyan’s qualification. Harutyunyan had fulfilled the norm during the Armenian Athletics Championship in Artashat. The Technical Commission of the International Athletics Federation allowed her to participate in the Rio Olympic Games with the result registered in the 400m hurdles event.
Prior to it Armenia had 4 qualifications in Athletics which had been gained by runners Diana Khubeseryan, Gayane Chiloyan, triple jumper Levon Aghasyan and long jumper Amalya Sharoyan.
At present Armenia has got 28 Olympic qualifications.
