The official website of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia continues the project, “Road to Rio”, before the start of the 31st Rio Summer Olympic Games where it will tell about the athletes representing Armenia at the Olympics, and their photos made by photographer Hakob Berberyan specially for the “Road to Rio” project.
The next hero of our project is Armenian Greco-Roman Wrestling Team member Maxim Manukyan (85kg) who has placed 5th at the first European Games held in Baku. If you have slightly followed Maxim’s bouts you would have noticed the wonderful technique that he possesses. His throws have captured the United World Wrestling’s (UWW) attention many times. Maxim’s trick in the bout against an Azerbaijani athlete at the European games was named “the best trick of the year” by UWW. Maxim is a taciturn person and doesn’t like to be photographed.
