A 9.2 billion dollars high-speed rail line will be built in Chine before the Beijing 2022 Olympics

China is going to construct a new railway for the Olympics which will cost 9.2 billion USD. During the Winter Olympics the railway will connect Beijing with Zhangjiako where the competitions of biathlon, snowboard, skiing, freestyle ant other sports are supposed to be held. The 174km railway can cater to 60 million people according to the Chinese authorities.

This year, in July the International Olympic Committee chose Beijing as host city of the 2022 Winter Olympics. Beijing beat Almaty (Kazakhstan) only by 4 voices.
