Minsk 2019: Zhirayr Sargsyan launches with a victory

The 2nd European Games kicked off in Minsk, Belarus.

The first competition day was started by the boxers.

Zhirayr Sargsyan at 56 kg was the first to enter the ring from the 1/6 finals.

The Armenian representative compete with Romanian Robert Jitaru and won 4:1. On June 24 his opponent in the 1/8 finals will be Irish Kurt Walker.

Boxers of 69, 75, 91 and +91 kg weight classes will also perform on June 21.
