One more Armenian representative overcame the obstacle of the 1/8 final at the 2nd European Games in Minsk.
Baregham Harutyunyan at 52 kg prevailed over Belarus’s Emil Aliev, 4:1.
After the bout the Armenian boxer commented on his victory in a conversation with the ANOC press service.
“It was a very hard bout but the next one will be better. It was difficult to fight with a Belarusian athlete in Minsk supported by fans but any difficulty can be overcome,” Baregham Harutyunyan said.
In the quarterfinal Baregham Harutyunyan’s rival will be Spanish Gabriel Escobar.
The team will launch the training camp on September 7th
