London Chess Classic: Levon Aronyan ended the game in a tie with the World champion

Armenia’s chess team member Levon Aronyan tied the game with the World champion, Magnus Carlsen. In round 5 of the London Chess Classic Aronyan competed with the Norwegian and on the 40th move of the match the GMs agreed to share the point. Now the Armenian chess player has 2,5 points and places 7th.

The leaders are Maksim Lagrave, Hikaru Nakamuran and Anish Giri with 3 points each. On December 9 is a day of rest at the tournament. Aronyan’s next opponent is Veselin Topalov.
