55kg weight class Tigran Minasyan lost the bout for a bronze medal at the World Wrestling Junior Championship in Tallinn.
The Armenian wrestler’s opponent was Poya Soulat whom Minasyan conceded 0:2.
At 55kg Tigran Minasyan had started the struggle from the 1/8 finals where had gained advantage 10:0 over India’s Vijay Vijay.
In the quarterfinals the Armenian wrestler had won 9:0 Ukrainian Vladyslav Kuzko. In the semifinals Tigran Minasyan had fought against Russia’s Anvar Allakhiarov and had conceded 7:8 in a tense bout.
The latter became a gold medalist of the World Championship. On August 18 Sahak Hovhannisyan at 60 kg and Shant Khachatryan at 67 kg will wrestle for gold medals.
The tournament will be held in Moscow from September 25th to October 6th
