Armenia’s representative Arman Darchinyan started with a victory the World Boxing Championship kicked off in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
In the first bout of the 75 kg weight class the Armenian boxer won 5:0 English Mark Dickinson and qualified for the 1/16 finals.
The Armenia boxing team has left for the World Championship with 8 boxers: Artur Hovhannisyan (52 kg), Erik Petrosyan (57 kg), Hovhannes Bachkov (63 kg), Koryun Astoyan (69 kg), Arman Darchinyan (75 kg), Artush Hovhannisyan (81 kg), Henrikh Sargsyan (91 kg) and super heavyweight Gurgen Hovhannisyan.
