Armenia’s representative Anush Grigoryan (51 kg) lost the 1/8 final to a Turk rival and dropped out of the World Boxing Championship being held in Ulan-Ude, Russia.
In the first bout the European U22 champion had faced American Heaven Garcia and won 3:2. Other representatives of Armenia at the World Championship, Anahit Haroyan (54 kg) and Ani Hovsepyan (69 kg), had been defeated in the first bouts.
The World Boxing Championship will be over on October 13.
Gevorg Aleksanyan will join the competition as a judge.
