Armenia’s representatives won 14 medals at an international shooting tournament (cadets, youth and adults) held in Vinnytsia, Ukraine from 21-28 October. 300 athletes took part in the tournament. Armenia had 7 representatives there: Alla Poghosyan, Milena Poghosyan, Hayk Babayan, Vrezh Torosyan (gun), Zaven Igityan, Gohar Mkrtchyan and Nare Gabrielyan (pistol).
In an interview with the ANOC press service head coach of the Armenia shooting team Seyran Nikoghosyan summed up the tournament.
“All the shooters took prize positions except Gohar Mkrtchyan. Six shooters placed first, six shooters – second and we had two bronze medals. I’m satisfied with the team’s performance; they had a good participation and good results. Milena Poghosyan who is a candidate for Master of Sports showed a result of Master of Sports and Zaven Igityan showed a result of an International Master of Sports,” the coach said.
