The Superbet Rapid & Blitz, the 6th round of the Grand Chess tour, which was held in Bucharest, Romania, was closed with Levon Aronian’s victory.
After rapid chess 9 rounds and 18 blitz matches the Armenian grandmaster scored 20 points and shared the first place with Russian Sergey Karjakin. The winner was determined in a tie-break where Aronian overcame his rival 2.5:1.5.
The tournament was attended by 10 grandmasters.
This year Levon Aronian wins the Grand Chess Tour for the second time. For the victory he will be awarded $31.250.
