Armenian representative Rafael Vahanyan has won the title of the world senior chess champion at the World Senior Chess Championship held in Bucharest, Romania.
68-year-old Vahanyan scored 8,5 points out of 11 possible in the 65+ age group.
Karen Movsisyan performed in the 50+ age group competition where gained 8 points out of 11 and placed 4th.
Armenian representatives Artashes Minasyan and Vladimir Poghosyan placed 22nd (7 points) and 52nd (6 points), respectively.
Only Arman Avagyan managed to overcome the first bout.
Karen Asmalyan has met Stanislav Shevchenko, the president of the Volleyball Federation of Russia.
