IOC approves order of Olympic Games athletes’ parade

The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved the marching order of the athletes' parade in the opening ceremony of Olympic Games.

Starting from Tokyo 2020 the second team after Greece will be the Refugee Olympic team which was created before the Olympic Games Rio 2016 on the initiative of the IOC. Along with the hosts the representatives of the next host countries will close the parade.

The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be held in the capital of Japan from 24 July to 9 August.
