Two-time world and European champion Benur Pashayan passes away

Two-time world and European Greco-Roman wrestling champion, Friendship Games winner, USSR Honoured Master of Sport, former President of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Benur Pashayan has passed away at the age of 60.

The legendary wrestler held the post of the ANOC president from 1999 to 2000. After finishing the wrestling career Benur Pashayan worked as a coach.
Benur Pashayan’s mourning service will take place at St. Sarkis Church of Nor Nork 5 on 15 December at 18.00.
The NOC of Armenia expresses condolences to the renowned athlete’s family, relatives and friends.
