The Armenia freestyle wrestling team is having a training camp in Tsakhkadzor from 8 to 22 December. Team’s head coach Habetnak Kurghinyan told the ANOC press service about the training camp and future plans.
“We pay more attention to the general physical preparedness during this training camp but it doesn’t mean we aren’t going to train on the mat as there is little time left to the European Championship. The training camp will last 14 days. Next year we will participate in an international tournament in Iran and will spend a training camp in Yerevan before the European Championship after which there are two Olympic qualifiers. The core of the team consists of young wrestlers, at present their physical condition is satisfactory,” the coach said.
The training camp in Tsakhkadzor is being attended by 32 wrestlers.
