The Armenian Junior and Youth Skiing Championships came to an end. On the first day of competition among boys at 7,5km freestyle skiing the winners became Mikael Mikaelyan, Rafik Virabyan and Arman Matinyan.
Among juniors Ashot Zakaryan, Aghasi Sakanyan and Narek Tamaryan were first to overcome a 3,75km distance.
At classic skiing (7,5km) first came Mikael Mikaelyan, the second and the third places took Arman Matinyan and Rafik Virabyan, respectively.
The 3, 75 km distance winners among juniors were Ashot Zakaryan, Arman Mikaelyan and Narek Tamaryan.
In the youth competition among girls (5km, freestyle skiing) the first place took Mariam Mikaelyan, the second one Liana Hakobyan.
At freestyle skiing among junior girls the winners became Anna Rashoyan, Gohar Tadevosyan and Tamara Hovhannisyan.
At 3,75 classic style the trio formed as follows: Anna Rashoyan, Gohar Tadevosyan and Tamara Hovhannisyan.
“The prize winners became mainly the skiers of those regions which we work with. We are very happy with the results of our junior skiers”, said Secretary General of Armenia’s Skiing Federation, Gagik Sargsyan to the ANOC press office.
