Head coach of the Armenian men’s weightlifting team, Secretary General of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation Pashik Alaverdyan has been elected as technical and refereeing commission member of the European Weightlifting Federation.

During the meeting prior to the beginning of the European Weightlifting Championships 8 members of commission, including Pashik Alaverdyan had to elect a president, “I have no desire to be a president, being a member of the commission is already a great achievement”, Alaverdyan said to ANOC press service.

Previously Vandos Gharagyozyan and Garush Karapetyan from Armenia had been members of the commission.
