The Intercollegiate Open Table Tennis Tournament came to an end at the Yerevan basic school named after Raffi which this year was organized with the support of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia and Kelme.
The president of the “Armenian-Russian Youth Union” NGO, Gohar Ghumashyan, said in a conversation with ANOC press service that the tournament is held every year in conjunction with the Russian Embassy in Armenia.
“Every year we organize various tournaments – chess, volleyball, basketball and football. This year we opened the season with tennis table tournament and the National Olympic Committee of Armenia and Kelme joined us for what we are very grateful,” Ghumashyan said.
Head of the ANOC Commercial Department Mane Muradyan gave prizes to the winners and participants.
“The National Olympic Committee of Armenia represented by President Gagik Tsarukyan always follows such sporting events and supports them. We are always ready to support and encourage any youth sports event,” Muradyan said.
