At the 32nd WTKF European Traditional Karate Championship held in Vilnius the Armenian representatives won 13 medals. “We have returned from the European Championship with 13 medals: 2 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals. In the fight among U7 kids, the Armenian representative, Hayk Astvatsaturyan became the European Cup winner. This time we came out better at the Championship”, said European Championship silver medalist, Narek Iskandaryan. ‘’The traditional karate is very developed in Armenia. We are pleased with the results. The medals are the proof of our work”, said the federation’s vice president, Albert Minasyan.
650 athletes from 23 countries of the world took part in the European Championship.
Extreme heat will most likely become the full participant of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
