Boxer Anush Grigoryan lost to an Olympic champion at “Strandja” tournament

The 67th International Boxing Tournament “Strandja” has kicked off in Sofia, Bulgaria. European and world youth champion Anush Grigorgyan was the first from Armenia’s delegates who came out. As a result of draw, Anush Grigoryan’s opponent in the 1/16 finals became 2012 London Olympics’ winner, Baku European Games’ champion, European and world multiple medalist, England’s Virginia Nicola Adams. Grigoryan lost to the rival in all three rounds.

On February 24 Narek Abgaryan (52kg), Aram Avagyan (56kg), Samvel Barseghyan (60kg), Hovhannes Bachkov (64kg), Arman Darchinyan (69kg) and Arman Hovikyan (75kg) will compete.

Artur Hovhannisyan (49kg) and Narek Manasyan (91kg) will start fighting from the quarter-finals which will take place on February 25.
