Armenia boxing youth team will participate with 8 boxers at the upcoming international tournament in Anapa.
“This tournament will be rather tough. It is kind of a world small championship. Anapa’s tournament will gather Cuba’s, Russia’s and Kazakhstan’s teams that are the main favorites of the last years. We have chosen the best boxers for this last occasion before the European Championship. Last year and earlier our athletes have become winners. The Anapa tournament will bring together strong teams; it won’t be easy for us”, Vazgen Badalyan, the head coach of the boxing youth team stated in a conversation with an ANOC reporter.
The following boxers will go to the tournament; Mnatcakan Harutyunyan (52kg), Samvel Soghomonyan and Vahe Badalyan (56kg), Arman Antonyan (60kg), Koryun Astoyan (64kg), Gurgen Madoyan (69kg), Van Melkumyan (75kg) and super heavy weight Gurgen Hovhannisyan. The Anapa tournament will be held from March 11 to 16.
