An Olympic qualifying Grand Prix is underway in Samsun, Turkey.
Armenia judo team member Ferdinant Karapetyan (66kg) became a bronze medalist. The Armenian judoka first gained advantage over Serbia’s Marco Vukichevich, then won Akil Gzhakova of Kosovo. In the quarter-finals Karapetyan conceded to Korea’s Limhan Kim and continued the struggle in the comforting fight beating Russia’s Anzaur Ardanov and Yakub Shamilov.
Zhanna Stankevich (52kg) lost in the first fight.
On April 2 Arsen Ghazaryan (73kg) and Andranik Chaparyan (81kg) will compete.

On June 30 Artur Aleksanyan (97 kg) will fight for a gold medal.
Levan Berianidze (130kg) is still the only wrestler who has got an Olympic qualification.
