The Armenian wrestler Levon Asatryan became a World champion at the Veterans Wrestling Championships

The Veterans World Championships started on October 13 are being held in Athens, Greece. In the first day of competition Levon Asatryan (76kg) became world champion. Asatrayan started the fight from 1/8 finals where prevailed on the French wrestler. In quarter finals the Armenian veteran won Ertan Uysal (Turkey). For reaching the final Asatryan competed with Ahmad Mohamed (Iran). Our wrestler finished all the fights ahead of time.

In final Levon Asatryan beat the other Turkish athlete Melek Abdulmutalib winning the gold medal.
