Taekwondoist Arman Yeremyan lost at an Olympic qualifier

Member of the Armenian taekwondo team, European former champion, Arman Yeremyan (80kg) couldn’t take a prize place at the last Olympic qualifying tournament in Istanbul.

At his first bout Yeremyan won Slovakia’s David Salko 5-4, then the Armenian taekwondoist competed with Azerbaijan’s Milad Beigi in the quarter finals but was defeated 1:11.
The other Armenian representatives, Haykaz Mamvelyan and Izabela Varzhapetyan lost from the first bouts.
This taekwondo tournament in Istanbul was the last qualifying contest for the Rio Olympics.
