Cyclist Edgar Stepanyan who has been spending a training camp in Olympavan these days will take part in three qualifying Grand Prix.
From May 27 to 30 Stepanyan will join the Grand Prix in Tula where will compete in team pursuit and omnium.
The Armenian athletes will perform in the same events also in the Grand Prix in Moscow from June 1-3.
The series of the tournaments will end up in St. Petersburg where the cyclist will join the team pursuit and omnium events from June 5-7.
The points gained in the team pursuit will provide qualification for the World Cup and points in omnium will be qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Levon Aronyan is the current winner of the FIDE World Cup.
The team will have 2 training camps before the World Championship.
The winners became Norayr Torosyan who beated Levon Babujyan and Arman Mikaelyan
Asya Lalazaryan had conceded to Ukraine’sAnastasia Novikova.
